Jack Hughes

Jack Hughes is a generational skater who is able to score at will or make passes that no one in the arena even saw. His combination of skill, speed and IQ makes Hughes a difficult player to defend against on the rush. He could be used on the power play as a quarterback or a second option goal scorer. Though he is not the biggest player out there, he plays center but look for him to play some time on the wing in the NHL. Only downsides to his game is his size and that he tends to force things in the neutral zone. Both issues aren't concerning.

PP Ranking: 9.4/10

Kaapo Kakko

Kaapo Kakko is slowly but surely closing the gap between him and Hughes. While not as good as a skater as Hughes, still a great skater with high top end speed. He has elite puck skills and has proven he could player with professionals this season. He has an NHL ready body which will help him adjust to North American hockey. Kakko is a very creative player who is make moves that catch opposing defenders and goalies off guard. He also has the size on Hughes.

Bowen Byram

The best defenceman in the draft and it is not even close. Byram is a fantastic puck mover. He could skate it out of his own zone, chip it out into open ice or even make that 100+ foot stretch pass. He has elite vision as a defenceman but could also score plenty of goals He is a great skater in all aspects especially his edge-work Only concern is that he tends to get carried away on offence trying to do too much.

PP Ranking: 8.8/10

Draft Projection: 3-6

NHL Ceiling: 55-70 points, top 2 defenceman

NHL Comparison: Thomas Chabot
